“That’s a wrap!” ― a phrase used in film making to tell actors and crew that filming of a particular scene, film, etc. has finished
Palm Springs is widely known for being a playground for old Hollywood, with streets named after the acting legends that once lived here. Actors like Bob Hope, Frank Sinatra, Bing Crosby, Dinah Shore, and Gene Autry just to name a few. In that spirit it seemed only fitting that I end my scene here by paying a little homage to Tinseltown.
First off, I need to give a big shout out to my friend Bob. He lived in the Palm Springs area for a couple of years, and when he saw I was here he reached out with numerous helpful suggestions of places to go, and things to do. Some things were on my radar but many were not. He did not steer me wrong. So I tip my hat to you sir – you’re a gentleman and a scholar.
Here’s a quick recap of my time here in Palm Springs.

Wrap Up
Palm Springs – a beautiful desert setting surrounded by lush greenery, palm tree lined streets, and nestled in the shadow of a 10,000 ft mountain range. With eye popping visuals everywhere you go, Palm Springs does not disappoint.
It’s been a great 3+ weeks here. I really didn’t know what to expect other than some hot weather. Despite the heat, I was pleasantly surprised by how cool a place Palm Springs really is.
I hope every stop treats me this well. Everything went so smoothly. The drive out, the AirBnb experience, even my first few weeks working remote. Being my first stop, I was half expecting some challenges and complications. Even an earthquake couldn’t shake my positive vibes of this place.
What’s Next?
With Palm Springs in my rear view, it’s time for me to look forward. I’ve timed my departure here with a few days off work leading up to Memorial Day weekend. A chance for me to fully immerse myself somewhere new. I’m very excited about these next set of stops, and a little nervous. I don’t have much of a plan – and it could backfire.
“I was surprised, as always, by how easy the act of leaving was, and how good it felt. The world was suddenly rich with possibility.” ― Jack Kerouac
