After spending a ton of time compiling my previous 7 weeks in Belize and cramming it all into my last blog post, I’m going back to the basics here – short and sweet. Perhaps it’s just laziness. Either way, my roughly 7 weeks in Colorado was spent falling back into a more normal routine. I spent some quality time with my sister and her family, and of course – enjoying ski season.
Having a sister who lives in Colorado makes for a good excuse to come out and visit every year and ski. This time I planned ahead. When I stopped here for a few weeks after my road trip, I purchased a 4 pack of lift tickets to Copper Mountain.
2019 was a pretty epic year for snow. In fact, I even got snowed in while staying in the mountains. That didn’t deter me from hitting the slopes however.
With every year that goes by it takes me just a little bit longer to shake off the rust on these old ski legs. Nevertheless, I look forward to ski season every year. It’s a chance to get outdoors, be active, and enjoy the winter weather in the clean and crisp mountain air. It doesn’t get much better than that.
