After taking a full day to relax, enjoy a couple of cold beers, and roast some hot dogs over the camp fire – my legs are still sore!
I had hopes of maybe doing another medium-sized hike today. Honestly, I don’t think I have it in me. So I’m calling an audible. I’m getting out my mountain bike to explore Yosemite Valley on two wheels.
It feels good to get back on my bike again. I’m also killing two birds with one stone. Not only do I get to rest my hiking legs a little bit more, but I can cover a lot more ground at the same time.
Sadly it’s my last day here in Yosemite. I’m trying to soak it all in. It’s hard not to be appreciative being surrounded by such immense, and raw natural beauty.
“I am bewildered by the magnificence of your beauty, and wish to see you with a hundred eyes.” – Rumi
I’ve had an amazing few days here in the Yosemite Valley. This is simply one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been. If I was seeking adventure, I think I found some here. Despite a disappointment with my Half Dome hike, Yosemite delivered. I came here for an authentic and immersive experience – and that’s exactly what I got. Thank you Yosemite.
